Diabetic Shoes

If used to treat or alleviate a specific medical condition, only the excess cost of the specialized shoes over the cost of regular shoes will qualify. However, a health care professional must provide evidence of medical necessity for the cost of diabetic shoes to be an eligible medical expense. Include evidence of medical necessity by providing a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) that specifically identifies the recommendation and expense is for treatment of a medical condition with the request for reimbursement.

Dermatology

Amounts paid to a dermatologist for a medical condition such as acne are eligible medical expenses.
Note: Precedures soley for the enhancment of appearance such as botox are not eligible expenses.

Denturist

Amounts paid to a denturist for the treatment of a dental condition related to the making and fitting of dentures are eligible medical expenses.
